This production has gone through 3 iterations that began with a performance in the Champlain College (St. Lawrence Campus) cafeteria about 4 years ago. It had a 3-day run – mostly in the form of a play – and then in March 2016 was presented twice at the Palais Montcalm in Quebec.

On November 29, 2017 over thirty people representing various sectors of the Irish community met under the auspices of Dr. Michael Kenneally to hear an update on the discussions to create a memorial park to commemorate the 6,000 victims of the typhus epidemic among those fleeing the famine in Ireland in 1847.
