Hot whiskey is a wonderful drink, and perfect for Canadian winters.
Ingredients:
Boiling water
1 or 2 teaspoons of sugar
1 large measure of Irish whiskey
1 slice of lemon
2 or 3 whole cloves
Heat a stemmed whiskey glass by pouring boiling water into it, then discard the water. Pour in another measure of boiling water to the glass, until it’s about 3/4 full. Dissolve the sugar in the water. Add the whiskey, a slice of lemon, and the cloves. Serve at once.
