Kevin Wright, a retired educator, is the president of Festival Bloomsday Montreal. He is also the leader of the Finnegans Wake reading group in Montreal, The Boaters and Sifters of ALP, which meets every third Wednesday of each month.
Brian Dooley has been involved in radio, television, film and theatre for 45 years. During that time he has garnered several awards and many honours in several media. As former Vice President, Creative, for Great North Productions, Alliance Atlantis, Brian over-saw the development and production of a variety of documentary and drama projects. Among his many credits were projects for LIFE Network , National Geographic, HISTORY Television and Global.
Earlier, Brian was involved primarily as an actor, director and dramaturge in both television and theatre. As an actor he appeared in principal roles in many productions over the years. His earned a Gemini nomination for The Boys of St. Vincent as well as a Dora Award nomination for Colleen Murphy’s Governor General award winning play The December Man.
Brian was Director of Play Development at The Citadel Theatre, Edmonton, from 2010-2017 and served as Artistic Director of L’UNITHEATRE, Alberta’s only professional French language theatre.
While Brian has served on a variety of juries, he was especially honoured to participate as an international juror at the 28th Fajr International Theatre Festival in Tehran, Iran. Having twice been to Iran, Brian considers the experience as longstanding and deeply affecting.
Brian recently returned to Montreal after 23 years in Edmonton, Alberta.
Quinn has had the pleasure of working across the country as an actor/musician and has performed in several productions celebrating the music, literature, and spirit of Irish culture. Select credits include: The Flood (Imago Theatre – META Award nominated), The Wolves (Imago Theatre/Geordie Theatre), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Segal Centre), June Carter in Ring of Fire (Theatre Aquarius, Citadel Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse), Miss Caledonia (Thousand Islands Playhouse), Once (RMTC, Grand Theatre) Evangeline (Charlottetown Festival, Citadel Theatre), Mamma Mia! (Capitol Theatre), A Man of No Importance (Theatre Sheridan), and Dora Award winning Brantwood (Theatre Sheridan). Additionally, she is a violinist and has lent her skills to many of the productions mentioned, as well as playing in the pit band for Strawberries In January (Centaur Theatre). Pianist CHAD LINSLEY has distinguished himself as a “wide-open musical partner” on the stage with Grammy award winner Jennifer Gasoi; Juno award winners Deborah Cox, Lorraine Klaasen, and the legendary Ranee Lee (CM); Félix award winner Natalie Choquette; flautist Carolyn Christie of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra; and David Marino, finalist from Canada’s “The Voice”. In the studio, he appears on Sophie Day’s 2021 Juno-nominated Clémence and Mike Rud’s Notes on Montreal with vocalist Sienna Dahlen, winner of the 2014 Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. As an accomplished arranger, Chad has contributed well over a hundred pieces for Musicnotes.com, the world’s leading digital sheet music retailer. As an educator, he received a teaching award from McGill’s Schulich School of Music where he studied with Jan Jarczyk, Tilden Webb, Wray Downes, André White, and Tom Plaunt. Originally from Outlook, Saskatchewan, he is now based in Montreal with his wife, Marie-Claire Saindon, an award-winning composer.
Born in Bristol, England, James obtained a first-class honours degree in acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. He has played major venues in the U.K., New York, and Canada. In 2005 James originated the role Frodo Baggins in the The Lord of The Rings musical (Best Actor in a Musical nomination – Whatsonstage.com), which brought him to Canada.
TV, film, and voice credits include Sherlock Holmes in Genius; Dr. Aniotti in Blood and Treasure and Captain Pratt in Hochelaga terre des âmes (Oscar nominated for Best Foreign Film), the BBC world service’s production of King Lear recorded live at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, as well as multiple games from the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Having had a lot of practice chasing after his 4 children James recently got into marathon running (2 so far) and stands by the mantra that pain is just French for bread.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Kathleen showed early promise as an actor and producer by roping the neighbourhood kids into putting on plays in her garage.
She studied singing from an early age right through her secondary years in boarding school in Kilcullen, County Kildare and later in Dublin. Kathleen acted in many community theatre productions and made her professional debut at the fabled Gaiety Theatre.
Is a graduate of the DOME, Dawson College’s professional theatre program, works in both English and French in theatre, film and TV. She is French-Canadian – Egyptian, has performed in over 75 productions, and is a 2-time META nominee for Outstanding Supporting Performance. Most recently seen on tv in Plan B (KOTV / CBC), Sorcières (Amalga Créations / TVA), Le temps des framboises (Trio Orange / Illico); and on stage in Louis Riel: A Comic Strip Stage Play (Infinithéâtre), The Last Show On Earth™ (Neptune Theatre), and is continuing the sporadic tour of Caisse 606/Checkout 606 (La Fille Du Laitier).
