About the Play:

THE KERRY DANCERS is an Irish-Canadian comedy set in County Kerry, Ireland. In the midst of a community theatre production of The Sound of Music, Nonnie Fitzgerald finds a visitor from Canada at the door of the Christmas bedecked (in May) cottage she has recently inherited from her Aunt and Uncle. It is Loretta Jessop who came across a rather incriminating letter in her mother’s mementoes which implies she has a connection to Ireland, a place she had never been. The secret is unraveled as there are glimpses into the past! This  highly-staged reading stars Jane Hackett, Sylvia CymbalistaKate RoyeaNalin Gupta-Cartwright and Colleen Curran.

Colleen’s many plays include Cake-Walk, Ireland’s Own Carmel O’Reilly Tonite!, And the Oscar Goes To… Festival Bloomsday Montreal premiered her comedy GODOT AT THE COCONUT GROVE and BEACHED (about Sylvia Beach who was the reason ULYSSES was published!)
